Increasing energy awareness and improving energy efficiency in campus housing
The Campus Housing Efficiency Solutions (CHES) Program, a third-party energy efficiency program sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) and administered by Resource Solutions Group, offers public and private college campus and privately managed residential facilities a variety of services and incentives designed to improve the energy performance of housing facilities.
Professional consultants provide technical information, financial analysis and assistance to decision-makers to determine the best energy efficiency measures to implement. Through a systematic project evaluation approach, the CHES team identifies cost effective energy efficiency upgrades that provide the greatest benefit and meet the facility's operational needs.
Incentives
All engineering and technical services provided by the Campus Housing Efficiency Program are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to participating customers. Rebates offered are equivalent to rates currently offered by PG&E’s core energy efficiency programs for the same measures. Bonus cash rebates are available for early program commitment and early project completion.
A catalog of incentives and equipment specifications is available here: Master Rebate Catalog.
The CHES Program is available to qualifying public and private college campus and privately managed residential factilities that receive gas and/ or electric service from PG&E. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis only while funding lasts. The CHES Program runs from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2012 and may be modified or terminated without notice.
